About

Over 20 years ago, Dot-Comma was founded by Kathleen A. McCall as a group of technical writers, copy writers and online help providers. That's the "dot" and "comma." The Web was in its infancy and the dot-com craze was years away.

Rather quickly, we realized we could be labeled as just writers so we turned to our background in structuring information and understanding technology to begin working on some of the first corporate websites. Soon after, marketing departments solicited our services.

Not only could we write about their products and services, but we also understood the underlying technologies well enough to enhance most corporate communications. Next we were asked for logos, then videos, and more websites. And now, Web 2.0.

It has been a natural progression for Dot-Comma to become a full-service design and development firm for clients ranging from small entreprenuers to prestigious universities and Fortune 100 companies. However, through the decades we've found that the same underlying principle always applies and we don't ever lose sight of it:

People want information presented in a clear and concise manner which is readily accessible to them, independent of who they are, where they are, what they access, and how they access it.
